In my opinion, donating to fight this in court doesn’t do much to change the publics perception. And generally speaking the publics opinion has much political sway. Win the populations minds with sound facts and the government has no leg to stand on.

Birdbuff, I went to Parliament Hill with my dad and all his friends from the local gun club back in 1994 to protest C-68…only about 10,000 showed up.I’d like to think a protest is a good idea but too few care enough to attend. And as has been said, the media is bought and paid for.

"Grandfathering" only applies while the owner is alive. Handguns are no longer able to be transfered to a family member when the owner passes away under the authority of a will. Police will be advised with the issue of a death certificate by a simple cross check program with the firearm licensing database. Knock,knock. Who's there?

No chance in a will eh.

I guess more people should transfer them over before they expire.

Unfortunately most Canadians don’t hunt or own firearms. Many believe that banning all firearms would make their communities safer but don’t realize or care that piling on additional restrictions onto safety conscious and law-abiding firearm owners won’t put a dent in the crime rate. News is about sound bites and very few people have the attention span to dive deep into issues. The future for lawful firearm ownership is bleak!
