Help your retriever discover the joy of swimming without force and they will begin to churn water like a paddle wheeler to fetch your ducks.

What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

Good read! I have the opposite problem. I can't keep my lab out of the water. She insists on jumping in and rolling around in every puddle and nasty stinky ditch that she can find! lol

lol, My golden doodle rolled in stagnant water today that smell awful … I picked up shampoo at the watershed and stopped at a lake to wash her up. I don’t think my wife would of let her in the house. I have to wash her again, I didn’t do a good job with the rinse cycle….haha
You can’t keep this one out of water.
