Another morning on Lake O
So got up this morning to contrasting weather reports the 1 said light wind out of the north max 10 km the other 20 with gust to 40 from the west. Should I stay or shoul I go. Figured what the heck got nothing else to do. Got to Ashbridges for 5:00am (ya knew it was late) and the lot was full. Having seen a guy get a tickect for parking on the car side last year, think it was 50 but could of been 100 thought it best not to join the 20 trailers parked on the wrong side. Drove over to Bluffers and found plenty of space still. Geared up and head out. Set the first line went to go set the second and found the downrigger not working. Was busy out there and didn't want to mess with a dipsey rig so decided to troll with just the one rod. Tried setting up the go pro and to my dismay the mount broke so while fiddling with it rod goes off had a nice fight and eventually netted a 20ish chin. Released it without incidence and continued on. Alot of boats out but didn't see many rods bouncing or nets dipping called it quits by 10:30am. 44 feet on the downrigger with a green/black NK spoon was the bait of chioce

Time on the water is time well spent. Bummer about the go pro.
Is the salmon derby still a thing anymore?

Sounds like you did well. Not to much in the big one anymore rather have caught your 4lb for the table

Ya I like pics with stories. Haven't been part of the Salmon hunt in almost 15 years. but it must be still popular with the spike in boats out.
