OOD and Len Thompson lures

So I was reading my OOD magazine and saw an ad for Len Thompson lures and their Fishing for Food Banks promo so I decided to take a look. Well after some perusing I talked myself into placing an order for the promo as 50% of the sale goes to food banks and I bought some extra spoons to top up the Lake O trolling box. Well I got my order today and to my surprise there were 2 hand written notes from Brad Pallister the president of Len Thompson thanking me for supporting the food bank campaign and supporting a 4th generation Canadian company that sells Canadian made products. To thank me he threw in a free spoon. I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service of this company and thought I would share a positive experience as well as encourage you to consider buying products from Len Thompson. A great Canadian company with great Canadian products.

A few years ago my son caught a 32lb salmon on an orange NK, the week before the salmon derby opened. Had we caught that fish 1 week later we would have won 1st place for that week.

Kind of off topic, but what speed do y'all troll spoons for Salmon on Lake O Heading up next weekend for first time, we are used to trolling Erie at 3mph but I heard slower for Salmon, thx in advance

generallay 2.5 on the gps little faster pulling spoons, little slower pulling paddles. Little slower going west little faster going east

Depends largely on the set up.
you want the spoon to move side to side, not spin, I get the best results with it that way.
place the rod in holder and move it just deep enough to be in a couple feet of water, and monitor the action.
I change speeds, till I get the flasher to spin and spoon to move side to side, usually below 3mph facing the current.

one of the fishing charters thought me to troll in S path, the curves cause one side to move faster than the other side ... getting spoons to act/rotate differently.

Len Thompson #2 is a great spoon to chuck for pike.
