Ammo search
With the drastic shortage of ammo across the board thought it be nice to have a place to want and find thread.
Was at Bass pro Vaughan just now and lucked into a fresh skid arrival of 20g Herter's Target Load unfortunately they were already down to 3 cases of #8 and 2 cases of # 7 1/2.
Picked up one of the cases of 71/2 so set for woodcock atleast
Oh by the way Dean if its no trouble a box of #4 instead would be great.

I checked CTC this week for 20 gauge.
They had Kent for 36.00 a box. Crazy
Seems like all the ammo went up like crazy.
I’m happy I have a good stock of most of what I need.

supply and demand rules. What little around is going at a premium. The case of Herter's 20g I picked up was $80.00 so count myself blessed

I haven't checked the prices of 20ga lately but I know at least CT has plenty in stock. I need to grab a couple boxes, so I'll see if there's #4. Either way I'm sure somebody will have em I used to just buy from Rangeview in Newmarket because they would order anything they didn't have on the shelf. Rifle ammunition is very scarce though at CT. The shelf has been almost bare since last season.

A buddy paid $39 for a box of 410 a few weeks ago. I ordered 1 box of 6.8 western (all I was allowed) recently from a shop in BC for brother's gun he ordered in the winter. $140 ($99 for ammo +$25 for shipping) This is the first time I've seen it in stock anywhere in Canada. I hope it doesn't take him too many shots to sight in the scope so he has some for the hunt.

WOW, good for you.
CTC here have a case of 20 gauge #8 Challenger Target loads for $140.00
I picked up 5 boxes of Federal in the spring which should be good this fall for grouse.

Kind of kicking myself though. Only bought the one case as didn't have my full stash of gift cards with me. Went back last night after work with cards in hand only to find everything has been cleared out.

Worst part is I check ammo every time I’m in that store. I could swear those two case been sitting there since last year which were priced under $100.00.

I agree. I've often thought the same thing.
