Small Game Opener Date Change
I just noticed that Upland seasons in WMU 69-95 which used to open on the last Saturday of September now opens on the last Sunday (Sept 25) according to the new Summary. Am I missing something here? How and why did that change come about?
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Could be an oversite or mistake, or they're giving the birds another days grace... Maybe a phone call to the MNR is in order...

I believe it changed to the 25th a couple years ago when they "streamlined" the small game seasons and bag limits.

for the longest time its been sept 25 no matter what day it fell on. Only waterfowl was moved to the last saturday regardless of the date. Having said that woodcock remained the 25th of sept.
Always check all opening/closing dates as there have been changes esp grouse and woodcock as most WMU now have same start/end dates where before one opened earlier than the other. Found a link to 2017 with the dates sept 25

Going back on the dates,I noticed that. Maybe I just realized it because it happens to fall on a Sunday this year.
