Propane Prices.

So last year for a seasonal fill up they wanted 61 cents a litre, this year $1.03, not real happy with an increase this size.

I was pondering switching back to the old two 100lbs tank system I had before but started adding up the costs two 100lbs new tanks would be about $500.00, fill up about $220.00 for both and hook up probably about $300.00.

Maybe check around with other suppliers. I haven't seen that sort of price jump around here. + carbon tax of course. But that's Justinflation

With regard to your last comment you can blame one person or government if it makes you feel good, but this like inflation is a Worldwide problem. Folks in Great Britain are going to see a 80% increase in costs for home heating.

When I was in the UK prices for gas, diesel and propane was about the same as ours.

Our price to heat our home is currently 85¢ per litre. Our supplier has given us the option to lock in at 90¢ to avoid any increases over the course of the winter.

Kind of horrible that the sanctions in place backfired. Russia sold 97 billion in energy exports in July . China is aggressively selling Russian fuel at a higher rate . France will cut off its Russian gas for not paying its bills come tomorrow .

1 in 4 British say they won't turn on the heat this winter, millions can't pay or afford it . Many more will simply stop paying for it as they simply can't.

Germany is scrambling for firewood and the west was just warned if they keep interfering they can expect next winter to be the same.

Our gas prices are expected to be hiked too next month then come January it will go up even more when they lift the credit. As inflation continues to rise over the next year and housing drops another 25% or more we will feel the pinch.

I just wish someone could explain WHY the prices of gas ,propane and ESPECIALLY electricity goes up here,in Canada?
We do not buy from Russia anything.

We sell our oil overseas(apparently due of not fitting for use in vehicles)THEN we buy foreign oil(fitting)
There should be ZERO impact on Canada.

The gas-we have it huge-so why the prices go up?
Electricity- same,we sell to USA.


Where is the Government to stop this nonsense?

I see today on the news that Alberta will have a 13 billion dollar surplus as a result of the higher energy costs so there is some good news for folks out west who have been suffering .
