Examining deer in a landscape of fear
https://oodmag.com/examining-deer-in...scape-of-fear/
Dr. Keith Munro’s thesis was designed to examine if deer behaviour in the landscape of fear could be used to manage deer more efficiently.

What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

Good article but I thought leaving areas off limit to hunting was already practice by some landowners/hunters.
Where there’s heavy hunting pressure and dog drives, Deer must have to travel a long ways to hide/rest regardless of no hunting areas?
