First ruffed grouse of the season
got my first grouse of the season in the Lanark Highlands area, not a single pellet in the breasts, I hit him when he was on the ground with my 20ga.
Still seemed a bit early in the season, all the vegetation was still very alive and made it hard to see more than 5 or 10 feet off the trail. difficult with no dog!

Nice job
They say the only good wolf is a dead wolf, If that’s the case than I’ve reformed many a wolf.

Nice. I'm anxiously awaiting the leaves to start falling before I get the old boy out chasing birds.
