West Nipissing Grouse
Well the season has been open for almost 2 weeks and I will finally be making a trip up to the West Nipissing area for a ruffed and spruce grouse hunt to get my dog out on some wild birds before moving back to released pheasants on public land in southern Ontario.
Was wondering if anyone has been out in the West Nipissing/Sturgeon Falls area yet this year and how things are looking. Also, if there’s anyone in the area that is willing to let me pick their brain through some private messages it would be greatly appreciated as this will be my first time hunting the area.
Good luck to everyone this season, wherever you are and whatever you are hunting!

I’m heading up to the south shore for thanksgiving and am trying to navigate the crown land use atlas and I would have better luck picking the lotto max numbers, I’m going to try to get out while at a camp.

my buddy and I were just talking about a northern grouse trip. We haven't been able to go up the last few years and are itching to do the same thing. We asked locals and found local crown lands pretty easily.
good luck and looking forward to the pics-don't forget to post.
