I've flushed a couple but I'm positive they're escaped pets. Lots of people keep pheasants. I had em for some time but they're a whole different level of dumb. Not a bird I enjoyed keeping.

Wasn’t the first one I saw in that area! About 10 years ago we jumped a male pheasant out of cattails hunting for jacks!
What area are you in that you flushed a pheasant in a cornfield. I have never seen one.

I had 1 on my trail camera last week. I keep thinking its the same one I've seen. Always more or less in the same vicinity. 2 years ago one scared the living shiiiiit out of me walking through the bush in the morning towards my blind in the bush, under a pine tree. Stepped a little to close and it flew out from under the pine and up infront of me. Very scary at 4am in the pitch dark LOL
