That's one good looking dog and one hell of a way to get her started... I wish we had that same opportunity here in Ontario to be able to experience that same type and quality of a hunt. It looked like y'all had a great time. There's a bunch of good looking dogs right there. Thanks for sharing. the photos with us...

Looks like a great hunt, beautiful dog
They say the only good wolf is a dead wolf, If that’s the case than I’ve reformed many a wolf.

Has too much time on their hands
How long might you run a dog in that big country; how often do ya switch out?

Thank you. I’m from Ontario as well but make the trip to the west for the opportunity. This was the first time with my own pup and it was special!

It was very warm this year so we only hunted the morning until around lunch time. So I ran Jessie maybe a few hours spread out during that time.

Beautiful dog! Just curious, how is she for burrs? I'll be looking for a new dog in a year or so and I've been thinking of a setter as they are beautiful dogs and I understand they are very "biddable". I've had several Springers in the past but I'm not sure I can keep up with one now. TC
