Also, what happened to that hunter last year where he shot 2 moose by the side of the road on Hwy 17? https://northernontario.ctvnews.ca/v...tion-1.5644396. People were saying that there were apparent violations: shooting from a traveled portion of a roadway, no hunter orange, and having a loaded firearm on a roadway. I don't see a charge in the records for him.
I believe that man was a First Nation band member and the incident took place on the reserve. A few karens made a fuss over it, but otherwise nothing much to see here, move along....

It depends a lot in which area the road is in. The general rule-of-thumb is described as a "municipality maintained road......" which most roads in the south fall under, although, there seems to be some exceptions. In the north central and northern Ontario, most forest access roads are unmaintained and in a lot of cases, are almost grown over. These don't fall under the regulations. The forest access road leading to our drop off point to access our camp is usually lined with road hunters during Moose and Deer seasons. It looks like the proverbial "pumpkin picket line" on some days particularly from about 3PM until dark. Making a beer run into the village can be a tad unnerving.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

This guy was convicted a few years back for shooting a deer while trespassing if I remember right. He was looking for sympathy on here under a username of Sparkie or something like that.

Remember thread thread well as caused some grief between members for and against until the charge came out.
If it is the initail punishment wasn't enough and certainly a second incident should of been harsher

I just read the entire thread, quite a few posters have moved on! Anyway, what’s obvious to me about that particular episode was that some folks believed Sparky’s story (several anti-enforcement folks) , whereas others had questions/doubts. We’ll never know the whole story I guess.

I just read that entire thread, too, and you're right. Most of those posters are long gone.

It looks like Sparky was not embarrassed enough with his first conviction and decided to double down and get another. As you were saying that takes a special kind of stupid. LOL I take it back I dont feel sorry for him anymore.

Mind you I have to give it to him
