Had an hour before the rain so I grabbed the 870 and headed for the bush. Just got permission to hunt a new property. It was partridge paradise. Old fields that are growing up in a perfect mix of aspen, birch, balsam, and lot’s of hawthorn and old apple trees. Also some beautiful stone piles and old rock walls. It was upland heaven. Score was 3 for me and 8 for the grouse. Lessen learned today was always shoot. Flushed my second one shot him. Took to steps forward and the third one flushed up just saw a glimpse of her and fired. Thought I missed but was trying to see if I could find her again. Walked to where I saw her fly, and there she was one the ground.

They say the only good wolf is a dead wolf, If that’s the case than I’ve reformed many a wolf.
