    Like others have said. Run the motor dry with some sort of stabilizer in the gas. It won't get all the gas out, but most of it. This helps tremendously.
    Change the foot oil in case it's contaminated with water, that way things won't rust over the winter ( the water will separate from the oil once it sits)

    Drain the gas from your tank and hose and use it over the winter in something else.. my old boat gas goes in my snowblower, ATV or vehicle.. mixed gas won't hurt anything, worst case ontario is that it carbons up the plug a bit. In the spring I use my leftover snowmobile gas in my lawnmower.
