53A Deer Hunt
Well we had another good deer hunt despite the warm weather as we harvested a small buck and a doe opening morning.
opening morning on our first run 5 mins in one of the guys shot a small buck and at the end the run one of the sitters shot a doe. Second morning my wife's cousin missed 2 does and one of the other guys had a nice 8 pointer at 30 feet but forget to load the first shell in his rifle and by the time he loaded the shell well the buck just ran away on him. Saturday i had a nice buck walking at about 250 yards in the hardwoods but had no shot and at the end of that run i had 2 does at 30 yards but my wifes uncle had the last doe tag but went home on Thursday night as he came down with the flu. All in all it was a good hunt and everyone seen deer and had a good time.IMG_0155.jpgResized_20221109_0744421.jpg

congrats. I wonder how many people have missed deer because they forgot to put shell in chamber. i have done it, also have forgotten to load a shell in when I took one out when someone comes up. Then end up with just one shot as the rest are in my pocket.

They say the only good wolf is a dead wolf, If that’s the case than I’ve reformed many a wolf.
