Pelee Island Ferry strong winds?
Heading to Pelee to hunt this week. Looking at the weather, Looks to get really windy over the weekend. Does anybody happen know how strong of winds, or from what direction, will cause them cancel the Ferry?

I can’t comment on what direction causes the most problem, but high winds do affect the ferry. Not sure where you are travelling from, but I always checked if it was running on-time before I left from home. If it’s windy and they still run, make sure you find a seat low as possible on the boat and as close to then centre line as possible and face forward.
I’ve been delayed getting off the island once due to high winds. It wasn’t as bad as it sounds. People on the island accommodate travellers and they get you off as soon as the weather clears and they keep you updated via email or text as I recall. Plan ahead.

The ferry off the island got canceled on the Saturday the 5th headed home. Most of the locals have a pretty good idea if it will run or not. And the ferry office is great to deal with we ended up getting on the first on in the am.
