Default Older Shakespeare Alpha 2532 reel - what line weight?

I have an older model Shakespeare Alpha 2532 fly reel. Would anyone know if this reel was manufactured for specific line weights? I saw a 2532 for sale on line with #5/6 line weight. Just trying to determine what the reel is likley rated to use re: line weight.

As a fly reel for the the most part is just a line holding device don't think line weight is of consequnce. Guess there maybe some line capacity condireration due to thickness of line.

Thanks. With little exposure to fly fishing, I knew rods were matched to line weight, but wasn't sure about the reels.

you're right line weight is tied to the rod not so much for the reel.
