Sturgeon Lake is now frozen over by Long Beach. Can't comment on safety of ice but at least it's frozen. As of yesterday, Head Lake in Haliburton has 6.5" of ice ten feet off my buddy's dock. Some small lake north of Haliburton already have huts out.

There was 4 day huts out on the ice on Scugog this morning out from the town docks... Haven't heard how much ice there is but if you do venture out be safe and check the ice as you go...

Port bolster this morning there is almost 100% chance it won't last this warm spell. Maybe the third time will a charm when we get back into some cooler temperatures.

Saw a few people fishing south in cooks Bay and 1 in vb yesterday but again I think that may all go aswell. We got 4 or 5 days with above freezing an some rain coming.

    This ice is not safe.

Went out half way on a local decent sized lake. 8 inches of ice but only 5 inches of black stuff. This warm spell may make it messy
They say the only good wolf is a dead wolf, If that’s the case than I’ve reformed many a wolf.
