For sale by owner posts, are these ever removed? Some have SOLD on them, many look as items are still for sale even if add is over a years old and pricing would be old. Thanks.

You can send a PM to the original poster and ask them to remove the add if it bothers you.

Guess per rule
11. If your item has been sold, or a deal is pending, please edit or delete your ad to reflect this. For sale threads older than 60-days without a reply or bump will be removed.

Its the sellers responsibility to edit post. Admin to clean up things older than 60 days

So l sent a few "is this still for sale" to adds that appear to be active. One was a year old this month and I bought item for sale (thanks). Another was 3 years old and still for sale. l am waiting to meet with him. One a few years old apologized that items were sold but failed to remove add . A few others l was interested in never replied. l only replied to adds of interest.

I used to do that full time in my first dozen years of modding here. Nobody else ever bothered with it.
I would say, yes, carry on.
