It’s hit and miss for me but can be rewarding when you can find them. Good perch too

They stock the lake every 2 years with 7000 splake. It takes a while to learn. I now live there fulltime. The winter following a stocking is when splake are more easily caught, but they will be smaller 10.5” - 13”. Perch are plentiful, it may take a bit of work to find the splake. Access from the beach is the easiest if you don’t have property, many people fish off of there, but I’ve never tried it.
A bad day hunting or fishing is better than a good day at work.

Haven’t fished that lake to much, but know the area very well as we were doing tree removal on the lake for months after the storm.

Next time you over there this Spring or Summer drop over for a coffee.

They got hit pretty good over there with that big storm, it looked like it went right into the Lake.

Sure, will do. Ya it was bad we worked there and in the area doing storm cleanup from May 24 to when I went back to school in September. One poor lady we did a job for didn’t even know her property was hit by the storm till she came to check on it in August. My on hope is that some good will come out of the storm in the way of habitat for small game.
