This reader asks if a rifle as well as a shotgun can be taken on a hunt for multiple species, specifically, coyote as well as turkey.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

Okee Dokee ! So we can have a rifle, loaded and ready to fire along with our shotgun also loaded and ready to fire at the same time ? Great ! One more piece of equipment to carry. LoL ! Maybe not a bad idea if doing an afternoon until 1900hrs. hunt for turkeys then unload shotgun and wait for Mr. Coyote to take an evening stroll ? Would help stretch out the day afield for those with limited time ?
Good Luck & Good Hunting !

You wouldn't even need to unload shotgun, as it would be legal to use on coyote as well.

I've had coyotes come into my turkey decoys while I was also calling. 12ga #4 rips 'em up real good. I didn't even need my rifle.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
