I allow my BSL to fluctuate between 6.9 and 9.6. My highest "spikes" can go to about 16 when I eat like an idiot. I'm using Jardiance daily and Ozempic once a week. You're right about it being a PITA. Watching what I eat and drink is quite the balancing act. It'll take you a while to get into the swing of things. Hint: Don't drink a lot of beer or garbage whisky that's distilled with a lot of sugar. Just drink the "good stuff".
Definitely changes the way you look at food.
Trying to impress the doctor from going from extreme highs to possibly a normal range lol. Also just playing around with new meals figuring out what works and what doesn't. Picked up a half year supply of tester stripes found a good deal 27% off.
Eventually my plan is to keep figuring out fresh dishes so I don't have to test as often or just once and a while. It has been nice knowing many low carb friendly meals over the years it makes things a bit easier. My mom never understood it took her years to understand that's carbs equal sugar. I was 4.8 last night been trying to be in the 5s but I cheated the other night we took all the kids to see the new super Mario movie and was 7.8 when I got home. That's my last cheat night for the next month until I have my next test and talk to the doctor again.
On the bright side I will save a ton of money from fast food.

Yes they were covered and like most taken away it was Doug Ford that did it.

What are your suger levels.
The eye doctor said the high numbers changes the shape of the eyes and will cuase that blur . About 2 months ago I was like I think my eye are getting blurry but wasn't sure by the end of the week I was like yep they are definitely going blurry . By mid March I couldn't even see my paper work or read the nutritional information on a package. Wore those 1.25s for almost a week while waiting for my appointment then all of a sudden I didn't need them anymore after I got my numbers down.
Think it was 55 bucks for the diabetic test total exam was 160 something.
My wife knows a guy we went to school with went totally blind from diabetes.

Be very careful with low BSL,especially,in the evening. BSL could drop through the night to a very dangerous level while you sleep. I'm 6'2" 220lbs. While everyone is different depending on height, weight and BMI,a BSL of 4.8 puts me into a bad place quite quickly. You may notice that with TV advertising and some MD's like to use 5.8 as an "ideal",it's important to remember that one size definitely does NOT fit all. Your local health care center may have diabetic clinics with dieticians ready to assist with food type, preparation and portion control. Reach out and talk to them. Their expertise really helps.

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I have a close friend that suffers from this and he has found that really watching his diet, getting daily exercise, keeping down his weight has made life much better for him.

Yes my wife made me eat a meat stick last night with it that low at bed but I seem not to move much at night expect that dawn phenomenon uptick. Also not taking anything to lower it could helps because I'm not spiking it back down at any time. Haven't been lower than a 4.5 think that's been my lowest reading.
It's all new to me at this point of the game.
Thanks for all the pointers and tips

These were taken away in early 2000 actually around 2004. I didn't realize Ford was the leader in 2004.'

It's only been a month and am feeling much better ,loosing those unwanted pounds and still eating 3 healthy meals a day. I can see things I haven't seen in years lol. It was all in my belly as I have stated in the past I love my food and chocolate milk , still can with a bit of healthier choices not the chocolate milk tho it had to go.
I've talked to a couple people now that have Changed things around for the better from just a complete diet and lifestyle change.
It's the first rd I'm taking then go from there.
It's not a bad thing to cut the junk out.

New law this week say seniors over 65 have to wait 18 months before not paying at the optician unless you have diabetes, glaucoma etc. - changed from 12 months . $140.00 if you want to go for an exam before 18 months. Wonderful .
