Default Good Luck- only 4.5 sleeps

It looks like we are going to have more normal weather for the first week of Wild Turkey hunting. I am still mentoring new hunters and I’m looking forward to getting out with some new hunters again.
I have 4 blinds set up this year in 3 different fields. One is a Primos 180 with see through walls, 2 TideWe blinds with 270 degree see through walls and one Herter’s blind.
Here are a few trail cam photos. Good luck everyone.C81B5AC2-9020-4D82-AE4B-74C486C73CCB.jpegA1CBA5B4-2D93-48E5-AB5D-2FF2E5B062DE.jpeg

Looks good. I'm very short on turkeys at my place this spring. Not sure if it was the late snow melt or maybe the winter was hard on them. I'll get pics about once a week of 3-5 birds. There is one very nice tom in the group.

For sure, eh ! Tuesday , Wednesday look great, not too windy, -1c in the morning with a high of 6c later but maybe rain Thursday, Friday. I'm right on the north shore of Lake Erie so it's always cooler. Test fired the gun and at 25 yards and have an excellent pattern but at 15 yards it shoots high. I use a Remington 11-87 with ShurShot stock and the barrel is a rifle sighted smoothbore with a ported H.S.Strut Undertaker choke , my ammo is Winchesters 12 ga., 3 inch, 1210 fps, 1 7/8 oz., #5 shot Turkey loads.
Good Luck & Good Hunting !

My perfect day would be to get a nice Tom real early and the go get a limit of walleye. That my picture of a perfect day. I use a winchester sx3, undertaker choke, 3" winchester longbeard in #6 or 5. Use a Bushnell red dot sighted in at 30yd last weekend, but it still has a killing pattern to 50yd, but I don't like shooting that far, unless it is absolutely necessary, but I know it will still pattern that far.

Not a great amount of turkeys by us, but I plan on a trip to Renfrew to fill one tag and save one to try to fill around home.
