    Default Parry Sound Rainbows

Been awhile since I've fished the shoreline for bows around Parry Sound. And due to the knuckleheads ruining the opportunity to cross the bridge and fish reserve, any ideas where I can spend an afternoon trying some luck for bows from shore close to PS? Just looking to toss out some spoons/spinners, maybe use Berkley bait setup under a bobber and soak up some of this sunshine.

I welcome a PM if that works.

C'mon you tight lipped silly buggers, send me a PM so we can plan a road trip to rape and pillage some unsuspecting local bows. Used to be a great way to spend an afternoon before things went sideways out on the Harbour. We cant have nice things anymore because some people don't know to clean up after themselves. You know..'those people.' <---- That's a Don Cherry reference for those of you still living with your parents.

UPDATE: Spent the day in PS yesterday. What beautiful little town. It has everything you could want, including a very golf course - a bit pricey but very nice. I'm actually kicking myself for not plunking down some dough on a property before the Corona scam. Those condos by the north salt docks are gorgeous..1.2 million gorgeous. Incredible views!

Anyway, spoke to a few locals who were fishing the shorelines. Still decent fishing, but better off bring a skiff, launching there, and heading around the island. And since I sold my 12ft motorboat package, that puts me at a disadvantage. Fyi, the water is fast and furious under the bridge, wouldn't recommend going anywhere near there until after the sanctuary ends and the flow rate calms down a little.

I did however discover a very tasty treat at Pizza Hut. I haven't been in a restaurant in what feels like forever. But I threw caution to the wind, got off my wallet, and had the pizza/wing combo. Wow, absolutely delish. If you looking for a quick but very filling smash, hit up the Hut and had to the waterfront for amazing views. Note; the Fitness trail is in superb condition as well as the Hiking trail at the north salt dock. Both very busy and active yesterday.

Give it a couple more years and prices could come down drastically.

My wife was looking at a Castel in I think midland area for that price last week lol.

Too bad the fishing was a bust better luck next time.

Midland? Very expensive. I'm actually priced out of there, but Parry Sound is still in reach. I'm keeping my finger on the pulse and hope to dig into PS sooner than later. I have summer place on Manitoulin Island. Stunningly gorgeous, waters are gin clear, and the fishing is world class. But the drive is getting to me. I know, eh? First world problems, blah blah blah. Stay positive and send it out to the universe.

Which reminds me of a story about my grandpa. He'd always say, "Never guard your money, guard your health." So I finally took his advice, and guess what? Someone stole my money...it was my grandpa!

Wife was looking at this the other week when it was listed. The bank would never give us a mortgage in the past because we never met the criteria as I was a single worker . Funny the bank called me looking to invest our money last year. No thanks that really boiled the blood. What a system we have when the bank calls you because there is a bit of coin in the account. They magically want to help me now to invest our money imagine that. We are in a good position now and just waiting to see if the market crashes further, this year is not the time buy give it couple more years houses will be much cheaper I think.

Good luck with the rivers not a river guy so I couldn't help ya out. I'm waiting for the jumbos on simcoe then the walleye opener. planning on getting the boat ready looking for a 9.9 for a backup an trolling first.

    Crazy castle! Too funny.

I'm not surprised about your bank contacting you while you have a bit of free capital looming around. They'll give you a few points on your "investment," and then turnaround and dole it out a double or triple the interest rate. Yeah, they have your back alright. Not. I do however think you're on the right track waiting another year or two. This is the slowest recession I've seen in a long time. Be patient, you'll be rewarded. Old Chinese proverb says, (or maybe I just heard it at a party many years ago while experimenting with psilocybin) 'if you want to double your money, fold it in half and put it back in you pocket.' Seems to be solid advice these days. Say your prayers brother, and good luck with your search finding new digs.
