    Default Be Careful Walking In!

Tuesday walked in around 5:00, didn't make it 100yds got caught up on a small log and down I went ...hard! I also bumped my head on a different log. Once I got my wits about me I tried to shoulder my gun but no dice so home I went. I took my shirt off in the bathroom and noticed my right arm wasn't where it should be. Off to Emerg and sure enough it's dislocated. So my season may be over before it started. Yes I was using a headlamp but I just didn't see the small log which was leaning on the larger log I bumped my head on. TC

Glad you made it out OK. Some hunters don't. Hopefully, you're a fast healer to get some action this season, yet.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you can still get some turkey hunting in. If you hadn't been able to get out on your own, did you have an emergency plan ready to go? Many hunters don't.

I fell hard this week. Running, and slipped on a carpet. Cracked my knee cap and half tore my tendons beside my knees. 10 weeks to recover the Dr says. Am on a crutch.

Saw a fracture guy today who was happy with the x-rays and suggested I do therapy, which I will. He said recoil from firearms won't bother it and that at my age I only have a 10% chance of it recurring. Just have to wait for the pain to subside before I can shoulder my gun. TC

    It will heal fairly quickly.
You gotta work on improving your night vision and do without the light.
Guess I’m lucky that I’ve always been able to see well in the dark walking into the woods to get to a blind without using any light.
Went in to a brush blind inside the bush this morning with no problem seeing at 5:00 am, and I will be turning 76 in a week!
