A new amendment to Bill C-21, which would prohibit many common hunting rifles and shotguns, was introduced on Monday, May 1, 2023.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.
-- "The Circus Animals’ Desertion" by William Butler Yeats

The amendment seems designed to capture any new so-called "assault" rifles and keep them from coming into the country. I would expect the others will continue to banned by regulation as many are now.

The whole thing is still a hot mess no matter how the Liberals try to "fix" it.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
