Anyone ever use walkers game ear buds or anything similar for hunting? Looking at getting something to use. Good or bad ???

I've used a couple different walker units. My main issue is there is basically a constant white noise going on with them. Same with any cheap amplification equipment. Its tolerable for short times but gets old after a while. My hearing aids (which I finally got) don't have that and are much better for hunting. Its shocking how loud I sounded stalking through the bush when I first got them.

Sound direction can also be an issue with the cheaper units. I'm sure there are some high end units out there that avoid this, but I haven't tried them.

My brother loves his ear muffs . He lost a hearing aid one year (very expensive) and a pair of muffs is only about 75 bucks. He did say they can make a squirrel sound like a big buck crashing through the brush.

I use 3M Peltor EEP 100 for hunting and also for clay target shooting in the summer when hot weather makes a full headset uncomfortable. Decent quality, good battery life and reasonable sound suppression. I also like them because they come in a case that also doubles as a charger.

I use one of the walker muffs, I use them for trap and for turkey hunting. Only issue I have is that there is a busy road half a mile away and I get a lot of traffic noise. I don't hear any white noise but then again I'm half deaf so maybe I just can't hear it.

I purchased the ISO tunes Sport Advance set this year and they are the best I have used. No white noise and they cancel the shot noise very well. As a bonus they won't break the bank either. TC

Yes they do but it’s not a common feature so you need to make sure
