What a day to be turkey hunting. Birds where the most active today. Got to my hunting spot a bit later than I wanted which had me change up my plans. Staked out a cozy tree on top of the ridgeline. The first gobbles where coming from the west side so setup facing that way. There after a pair sounded off to the east side and sounded closer. Shuffled around the tree and waited for them. Was steady gobbling from all over the ridge. Eventually a hen dropped from her roost on the east side and flew down into the field. In fairly short order a pair of birds came out of the forest and paraded for her. They made their way away and behind the bush. At the same time heard four birds gobbling their way from the west. So another shuffle back around. Morning was full of gobbling and hen replies with birds moving around a lot. Knew it was only a matter of time before something would make their way to me. By mid morning hens had were breaking away and a few scratches on the pot got a response from a group of birds. A cautious approach wasn't enough to save the jake.

ya the 3 jakes in the background were issuing their approval that the boss jake was taken out. Wished the gopro had better sound recording (or I just don't know how to properly record) but the whole morning it was a gobbling and hen yelping commotion. Lots of entertainment to end the season on.
Wish I knew how to edit vids but this clip is the preamble to the end shot. Had the birds up the fence to my right they came to a 40 yard shot at the closest. Could of taken the shot but was confident I'd get a better shot opportunity. Instead of coming down and passing in front of the mound they swung to the back side. Had to wait till they moved passed and away to call 'em back down the fence line to the left.
