Hey Mike, Been a while. Yes it is. Best of luck out there this year.

Species that looks like a pretty solid crib dock, if you ever re-build your crib dock you can try putting a piece of threaded rod through each corner that should help prevent the timbers from coming apart or getting pulled out in the future.
Awesome set up and look forward to your bear adventures this spring!

Jealous. I will be waiting for the fall hunt this year but was up to the cottage south of Sudbury on the weekend and while the weather was beautiful I was shocked how many blackflies were out already
Then again I was shocked that I had a few baths in the lake so I guess they don’t have a calendar just temps to go by
Good luck with the hunt

The 2 cribs closest to shore are done that way. They were built by me 7 years ago and are still mint. The two in the front are older and were done by previous owner. They do not have extra rodding. To be fair though the front take more of an ice beating.
They are being torn down and re-built completely this spring complete with rods. In addition to timbers popped out they are out of level and twisted - hard to see in the pic but in person it is obvious.
Hopefully after the re-build the next time work is required it will be one of my son's while I direct from a lounger with a cooler of beer.
