Ice Hut Recommendations Needed
Thinking of coming up from Niagara for a day hut rental on L. Simcoe the end of February, south east area (maybe Virginia Beach to Pt. Bolster), bringing my son & grandson. We have only done this L. Simcoe trip twice in past years - went to Cooks Bay both times, and were very disappointed in the poor catches we had, so looking at the SE side for a trip.
really need recommendations on outfitters in this area to go to.
I read that a new operator has taken over Ice Fishing Outfitters, and was wondering if anyone had experiences with them you could share. Also, what other outfitters you could recommend. Don't want to drive further than Pt. Bolster, as that is a long enough run for us from Welland.

Casey's in Port Bolster is one of the most recommended.

Our group have had good fishing right out of the ramp at VB half way to Georgina Island. We found a weed edge next to a sandy bottom and hammered them big time. Sorry no info on outfitters, we stayed in rented cabin and did a DIY trip with our own gear and moved until we got on them.
Hope you can make the trip next year

Was out there yesterday when an atv or Argo went by in the Afternoon water was moving in my holes pretty good.

At cooks bay I always go with and recommend , Fish Simcoe Hardwater outfitters .
On port bolster side Casey’s for perch and Jus huts for whitefish and Burbot.
All of Justin’s huts were spot on located near ambush points , nice to have huts setup by an ice guide
