That means they have available bodies without taking all the resources away. .

That means nothing.... could be one. Empty words by all politicians. I'd say its a question of man power send in the military. Thing is I don't know the logistics of deploying such actions. That's why we put in charge those that know better and trust they are doing the best they can. However if it comforts you to live in "They are out to get you" mentality hey go for it. If you really want to make a change run for office and work from within.

Some interesting information. Can only gets stats back to 1980. But I know there is data going back over 100 years.

I follow that info. My brother (retired) was the Ontario Coordinator for MNR fires. This is the second or third time they pulled him back out of retirement to help. This time to direct the Mexican crews. My son did 6 years as crew leader on the Wawa crews.
Brother John was in Australia when they were burning up. Learned and fished some great Brook Trout waters between Sudbury and James Bay over the years.

Firefighters fight forest fires every single year but I guess that ended ?

We sent 100 from Ontario to help the fort McMurray fires in 2016. Bc sent 200 two years ago to Ontario in 2021. In 2019 little old Halifax had several crew's working on forest fires in Canada.

Point is if they have the resources and are not fully using them then they are not doing everything they can to stop them.

I studied Forestry at SSFC back 1989 - 91. Tried to get a job in Fire Fighting but didn't, ended up in Ottawa and went back to School took computers.

Your family got to do some interesting work, wish I had the chance but hey life is like that no regrets.

Could be empty words but as a mayor they shouldn't be . Since they weren't even asked shows the lack of concern. When they spoke out and said they would help they were told it wasn't necessary. Why isn't it necessary even if there was a team available to help.

For my brother, it meant moving a lot. Manitouwadge, Sudbury, Capreol, Pembrook, etc, but was a great job for him. Son did 6 years in Wawa and then met his bride. He's doing well in HVAC now.

Your comment is not worth my time or consideration.

    As it was already answered.
