The public is being asked to help keep the latest invasive insect out of Canada, by both removing and reporting it when found.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

Disgusting how much "stuff" comes from there to pollute the rest of the world.

Unfortunately our Government is fully at fault for all these invasive species:

They do not prevent them from entering(lame steps at best)
They do not stop spread (by vigorously eradicating)
They do not punish culprits (minor slap at best)

They have ALL the POWER, all the AUTHORITY and all the RESOURCES.
    Then:
They ask the Public to report, or to not move firewood etc..........

Very ineffective (just ask all the Ash trees of Ontario)

Haven't seen one yet, but I'll keep an eye out for one.

Best thing would be to stop importing anything from there and send all their useless broken garbage back to fill their own dumps. Send illicit drugs, no more imports, but, I'm sure some palms are getting greased somewhere.

Seems to me there have been a lot more insect invasions since we stopped spraying tree's. I swear when companies use to spray forests and trees in the city we did not have these issues.

I worked for two companies as a tree sprayer from 10 years using products like Sevin, Dursban, Orthene, Diazinon and a few others I cannot remember anymore.

You haven't been able to use Diazinon for a number of years now. Anything with 2-4-D has been banned.

Diazinon is an insecticide, 2-4D is not in Diazinon as 2-4D is a herbicide.

Both have been banned for domestic use but are still used for Agriculture and Golf.

Roundup is also banned for domestic use, you can still buy it but it is 1/20 the potency of the commercial stuff.
