New Firearm Purchase

I bought a new shotgun online this week, and I'm wondering. Does it automatically get registered? Or do I need to register it?

There is no gun registry. The seller had to get a reference number to show they checked out your licence. TC

The act of buying/selling firearms could become a sensitive matter even if the process may be simple.

With all due respect, it would be best and imperative for the individual to first become fully aware of regulations/protocols currently in place prior to initiating either purchase or sale .....

I haven't bought a new gun in years, I got the reference number and all that. I didn't know if it got registered was all. Thanks for the info
