Thanks for the replies. I have a sled as well and it works well in the leaves and snow, not so much on dirt. I don't own a quad and any friends are in as poor of shape as I am. As I mentioned my appliance cart isn't bad but I'm looking ahead into my 70's. TC

Depends on what your walk in is like and how much gear you can carry with you. There are many portable battery operated winches and ones that connect to rechargeable drills on the market if your body opts out. Hook to a tree, winch and repeat until you get to a trail. Slow but it would work.
Focus on integrity and eventually your name will be its own currency.

Don't forget that there's always the "quarter and carry" option if all else fails.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

X3 on the pelican sled.
Rig up a wider wooden handle to help with the pull.
Its still a work out but much better than the drag without one.

An old plastic ice fishing sled similar to the pelican …works like a charm over logs, partly downed fences, etc.

Unless it’s really short I gave up dragging game years ago. I pretty much debone or at a minimum quarter and backpack out. Way easier and all the mess is left for other wildlife to enjoy

watched that video. boy that be a good why to get shot. also would have to be a pretty small deer to be able to do that with as didn't gut it either. Could just imagine trying to carry one of our bucks or even a good Doe out that way, it way over 200lbs I bet with guts
