3” #2s here. 3# to BBs will all do the job. Some depends on gun and choke but it’s mostly you. The price of shells is shocking right know. If you’re able hit up a skeet club and shoot 3 or 4 rounds with the shells you’ll use. You can swap in some skeet loads for the first round to knock the dust off if needed. Skeet clubs are great as you get skeet combing at different speeds and angles. Skeet shooting with 5 guys on the line all shooting at the same skeet won’t help. It you find a load you get super comfortable with buy a few cases. You’ll shoot way less and they’ll last.

You may want to check with the skeet club first - it may not allow any shot bigger than 7 1/2, target loads only.
