The comments you are referring to didn't come from the CSSA (Canadian Sports Shooting Association) but the CSAAA (Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association) which is the industry association. Dealers and distributors have been storing millions of dollars worth of dead inventory for over three years and understandably they would want it taken off their hands and be compensated for it.

I get regular e-mail updates from the CSSA. After going back and taking another look,I see they were quoting CSAAA. I stand corrected. A little more clarity on their part would have helped. I'll be sure to read it twice next time.
