Chinook Salmon in Zone 10 During Spawn?

Hey All,

My family and I came across our first ever spotting of Chinook salmon during their spawn run while on Manitoulin Island today. I've never seen a salmon in person before and seeing that many making a run up the river was fascinating. I showed a video I took to my brother in law and he said you cant take salmon during their spawning run. I took that statement at face value until I got home and took a look at the regulations where I couldn't find anything stating this, just that Chinook was open all year long.

Is he right that you cant take chinook salmon during spawning? Or are they fair game all reay long?

Im going to answer my own post. It turns out the river I was on is a sanctuary during spawn season. I missed that in the regulations.
