Stella's first woodcock
Rainy and cold morning but after seeing that huge full moon last night and north winds I knew I had to get the pup out and hopefully find some woodcock. It wasn't the flight I was expecting but she did find and point 2, of which I connected on one... so she's officially had both grouse and woodcock shot over her now! She did find 2 grouse as well but put too much pressure on them and they flushed before I could close the distance but I'm still super pumped to finally shoot a woodcock over her! It was definitely worth getting wet. She's really starting to hunt with purpose - you can see the light bulb really turning on. I think I officially have another bird dog on my hands.

Nothing prettier than a wet dog. Looks like things are coming together.

Yeah the light bulb is really going on for her. She was really hunting with purpose today and confidently getting out further from me. It was an enjoyable hunt.
