Kenya to plant 15 billion trees by 2032
As a first step, they made a National Public Holiday "Tree Planting day"everyone is to plant trees.
“The government has declared a special holiday on Monday November 13 2023, during which the public across the country shall be expected to plant trees as a patriotic contribution to the national efforts to save our country from the devastating effects of climate change,”
Trees hold carbon, provide cool microclimate, provide home for wildlife, prevent erosion,You name it.
Wondering where are our 2 billion trees promised? We are much richer, much more advanced in many ways-and we "may"plant 10 % if the 2 billion by 2030?!
We could even afford to make a Public Holiday for this..we do so for many other things anyway.
Opinions?

this is a great initiative.... we all know about why we havent planted 2 billion trees.. we have a government that likes to talk about fluffy stuff but accomplish nothing...(in justin's mind we are now drinking from paper straws and he is carbon taxing us into poverty) that's his claim to fame and much better than planting trees I guess?

It's going to be an expensive project.
One contact is 200 thousands for 35 thousand trees by 2025.
A big one in this article 41 million to plant 21 million trees.
Funding the program next year is supposed to cost us 355 million in 2024.

They will be expensive trees. Hopefully they don't want to profit from them later haha.
Anyone wanna split a million tree contract lol. 1 year 1 million 2 guys easy pezy.

I read somewhere the UK has only 2% of the original forest remaining, I dont see the rest of the countries being any different given enough time. Maybe Bill Gates is right, the planet is becoming a big farm.

Absolutely you are right Marker.
We are going in the wrong direction, and no one RELEVANT really wants to stop and reverse this trend.
Lots of hot air...that is it.
As far as Bill Gates is concerned-hmmmm.I am not so sure....
This guy apparently owns huge tracts of farmland in North America.
How many acres of his properties he converted back to the Nature ,i am wondering???
Since he is SOOO devoted to forests (apparently he worries so much about deforestation!)AND he is SOOO rich,he could afford it easy peasy.

There is an alternative motive to gates being the largest farmland owner in the United States. He is just 1 partner with institutions, companies, investors who all do the same. Other partners buy up complete neighborhoods of residential properties. Others are into condos, business ,retail, large corporate estate ,office building, storage facility's. .
Bill gates is an investor money in before the pandemic one of the first ones to cash out just off the peak of the covid vaccines.
He can fly where he wants to because he is part of the solution he says . All while sitting down with key senators to make up the parts of the inflation reduction act aka biuld back better fund.
He is an investor who is collecting think tanks and using them for his own personal gains an patients.

Gates backed a company to clear cut and clean up the Forrest to prevent Forrest fires. A way to restore and bury the carbon. 6.6 million from the gates climate foundation. How much returns will they make? If the government funds the company millions to clean up with their technology they could see billions in revenue funded by the taxpayers.
They always say they are with the people but profits are always at the top of the list. Just like all our venues take the max from you charge 7 dollars for a bottle of water all partners taking the most of what they can from us. Be it be through the government that is payed by the taxpayers or just the consumers going out for a good time. All while pushing the narratives and maximizing profits. They all take the most out of us keep us in debt and while improving their visions and profits. In the end it will always be a maximum profits they will lay off thousands without a Care they all stated that.
Same with his vaccine programs. Puts in 500 million and the gets the government's to fully push it to every person then gets a big pay day. He isn't worried that every vaccine has side effects some more than other's.
He also funds the media this wealth transfer he knows he's a part of it. We will all fully fund him.
