I usually don't start bow hunting 92B until Mid-October due to our heavy tick and mosquito population.

Sit# 1 Oct 21. Had 4 mature doe come by 15 yards behind an apple tree. No shot!
Sit# 2 Oct 28th. Arrowed a nice 8 point with the crossbow. Not a giant but a good eating deer.

Muzzleloader week party hunting with our group of 7 in 92B.
Opening morning Nov 06th. We filled 4 of 7 tags.
I was posted on a field edge that is usually loaded with deer. Deer#1 big mature doe 150yards. Deer# 2 a nice 8 point 150yards. Deer # 3 30 yards another big mature doe. Another member of our group got a nice 8 point.

Nov 07th morning hunt we tagged 2 more mature bucks. Both shot at over 200yards.

Nov 08th I was once again in the right place at the right time. Shot a nice 10point 30 yard shot. Called him right to me with a doe bleat call.

All in all a great season and I am tagged out so time to knock some Coyotes back and fish...

    Cheers!

Same! Its been one of those years for me too. Just never in the right spot at the right time. I've got some deer around, just not when I need them to be
The deer are here, when I'm not near

I could swear these critters are using our trail cams to pattern us . In early October, our trail cams were showing singles , threesomes and a herd of 5 at all hours of the day. When I head out in mid-October, they've all gone nocturnal on us. How do they do that ??

Your neighbours are hunting and turning them nocturnal.

I should have known better, thanks for confirming that, Marker ! In previous years, going out on opening week has always produced more sightings, so I'm wondering why ? If scheduling allows, I guess we'll try again for 1st week of archery next year LOL ..
