TIkka T3 Superlite 270
Afternoon everyone, I was wondering if anyone anyone was familiar with the above or the T3 in general. Finally decided to buy my first rifle and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction for which ammo/grain is preferred for there Tikka (Winchester, Hornady, Remington, Federal, Sako) hoping to save some time & $
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

I’ve got a T3 in .243. She shoots the federal 100gn just fine. I’m under a inch at 100yards.

I have a T3 in 7 mm Rem. Mag it will shoot .5 inch groups if I do my part. It also kicks less than my able .308

I have a T3 lite in .243. It is insanely accurate, even with basic factory ammo. I just sighted it in for coyotes. Using a bag of birdseed on the hood of my truck, and me standing, it shot a three round group that was .589 MOA using Hornady Superperformance 95 grain sst. What a gun! I’ve never shot a T3 in .270 but I can say i’ve never liked the recoil in other guns of that caliber. A 6.5x55 Swede would be a peach if it’s available in the T3. It would be my choice if I used the gun for deer-bear-moose. If it was for deer-bear-varmint, then 25-06 if it comes in T3

I have a T3X in 6.5 and it's great. Sighted in with 140 gr cheapest box of ammo the shop had and use the 140 in Sako gamehead for hunting.

Sighted in with federal fusion 175 grain and was surprised with 3/4 - 5/8 " groups ,way better than my blr.308.When I got a bull tag I bought some Federal premium 160 accubonds and this ammo gave me .5" groups. I have tried Hornady 154 inter bonds , Barnes 150 ttx and the Hornady 139 inter bond. Except for the 139 inter bond all the others shot extremely well. Looking forward to trying theFederal 155 terminal ascent.

I shoot a T3 in 300win mag with factory ammo off a solid rest and it shot 1.75 at 200yrds. With my home loads i can achive .7/8 to 1inch at 200yrds.

- Best ammo for pretty much all of my tikkas is Remington core lokt tipped. I’ve tried em all from most brands. For whatever reason the rem’s stack on top of each other and can’t find anything(even 2X the price) that shoot as good. From 243 to 338 mag it’s been my go to for years. In the 270 it’s the 130gr that shines

I shoot a T3 Lite in 30.06. Best groups (<1") with plain old Remington CorLokt 180g PSP. I have also used Federal Premium Nosler Vital Shock in 180g, but accuracy isn't quite as good. I found the Winchester Power Points and Federal Power Shok in 180g to have the largest groups, but still quite aceptable for hunting.
