Has too much time on their hands
Love it!
From what I understand, The Picardy is supposed to be very biddable; tremendous natural ability making them easier to develop as bird dogs.

Ya he's been very easy to work with so far. Still a puppy and lots to work on. But already sits, comes when called, is really good about being in his crate. Let me clip something me claws today, with a bit of nibbling of course but no whining.

Carry him around flipped on his back and play with/squeeze his feet often. Instill that now and you will save yourself aggravation and money down the road.

couldn't agree more with ninepointer, whatever you want to happen later in his life start now. I clipped my girls nails right from the time I got her and the grinder as well. Now the odd time she needs a nail clipped no problem, I walk and train her 2 to 3 times a day so nails pretty much take care of themselves.
