I read where the terrorists went house to house and killed the Jews living there - makes me wonder why people couldn't defend themselves - it seems that few Israelis are armed - that raises a question - why isn't the population armed - I also read that only 2% of the population own guns compared to where 30% of the population in the U.S. is armed - when will people learn -

I can see living in a country (surrounded by enemies) that arming the masses albeit with some proper training would be a good idea but comparing it to the U.S. of A. ??? The U.S. has the mightiest military force on the planet to protect it and yet the world sees daily how the lack of gun control causes the senseless slaughter of innocent people that just want to live the American dream. Until the world wakes up and realizes that we are all in the same boat and better start rowing together I fear that we will continue to repeat histories mistakes instead of learning from them.

Ever wonder if that's all they got? Look at gaza pledged war with nothing to tanks no planes no modern technology. All the weapons being used are smuggled in . Running around tunnels like moles placing grenades on tanks by hand.

Was talking to guys at work not long ago and I was wondering if that's not what we have created. Keeping them locked up basically a cage like animals no wonder why most hate the Americans it's them Keeping them locked up in parts of the world.

That's the only solution to end this carnage. Gaza Palestinians with even half a brain should,by now,have headed to either Egypt or Lebanon. Anyone remaining should be regarded as enemy combatants and suffer the consequences. By the time this is over (no doubt it will take some time) there should be no question as to why Gaza no longer exists with a stern and blatant warning that unless hostilities cease,the west bank will be annexed.

In so much as Hamas is using the Gaza Palestinians as human shields I would suspect that any attempt at flight to Egypt or Lebanon might be view as a form of dissertation, and they would likely be shot down by Hamas. For a similar reason Hamas is not likely to free all the hostages, they are going to hold on to them, as long as it takes to for the rest of the world to shutdown Israel's aggression. Hamas appears to have fifth columns in a number of countries working to stir up public opinion against Israel. In history there are many excuses for war, but war's over all purpose is population control. When the population of Gaza gets thinned out enough the war will cease, or Israel will have achieved its objective of destroying Hamas.
