Trail cams are out

I went to the deer camp this weekend and set up 9 cell trail cams. As a bonus, I also fished the Rainy River ( in a boat) for walleye and caught/released some dandies, also brought home some eaters.

The mild winter was a blessing for the deer herd as I saw quite a few while driving around. Should be more yearling and fawns and few more bigger bucks this fall. Next winter is supposed to be influenced by “La Nina”, hopefully that we don’t get buried as we need some consecutive mild winters to allow the herd to recover.
