    Default Moose license Question

So today I bought my moose license, I haven't bought one in years. I know about the new point system. How does it work? It gave me no option if I wanted a bull or cow, or even which WMU. The website, emailed me my moose license. Yet I had to option to pick a bull or Cow, or the WMU I want to hunt.

You most likely just bought a moose license (required to party hunt moose)

Right now primary allocation stage is over, so you cannot apply in a draw.. secondary stage will open up mid June

Frak! I just typed out a detailed response and it disappeared. Sorry but no energy to repeat it all over again

Well, you've kind of put the cart before the horse. Like Newbie said, you bought a license that allows you to hunt with anyone with a tag as a party hunt member. Don't forget to apply to the secondary draw for a WMU that has tags available. You never know, you could get lucky. With an adult tag in the secondary, you'll be GTG on your own to set up a crew. Good luck.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

You kind of made a hasty decisison........if You do not apply in June ,and or do not hunt with anyone this year,You just donated your money to the MNRF.

Application costs only 15 $-yours was like 35$...That license does not allow You to apply into the 2nd draw.
You still need to pay the 15 $-with a hope to get drawn(faint hope clause-likely and statistically).

Yet-you need to go into that draw ,if You want to "collect"points, and hope-one day you will have enough points .,to get a moose tag.

Unless-You are into calf hunting,or cow hunting in obscure areas-and/or ,you will be one of the few lucky ones to draw a bull tag in the 2nd "surplus" draw.

Can you apply to the secondary draw if you did not apply to the primary draw? I didn’t think that you could.

I think you can apply for the second draw. I recall reading to the effect that if you didn’t pay the fee to apply in the first draw, you had to pay it to apply in the second draw….

Yes 100 percent you can apply to the second draw if didn't apply to the first, just have to pay your 15 bucks
