I have got many great advices here....if You can help, appreciate it-and thank you.
I have this great little 20 g Stevens 301 shotgun.
I decided to shoot slugs out from it,not just shots.
Set it up with Wortex Viper-sighted it in(almost).
Thru the excercise, and struggle with Venom not having enough up adjustment(fixed)i had about 20 rounds of Winchester and Federal plain Jane lead rifled slugs thru it.Plus 2 Federal TruBalls,at the end.
I cleaned halfway thru ,between 2 shooting sessions-but honestly,after the fact-i think it was not even a so-so clean out.
Today i decided to do a good scrub.After 2 hrs cleaning,brushing ,using Shooter's Choice Choke tube cleaner(suppose to work on lead)and some Ballistol CLP-the barrel is 95 % clean.
I gave up after 2 hrs.......will come back to it(advice pending

)
I was SHOCKED of the amount of lead coming out from the barrel.Chips,little pieces,shavings of lead,rolls of lead on the brush....disgusting
I hunt over 25 years,and have reasonable experience and knowledge about gun cleaning-but never did i use lead slugs.
I believe some of You do shoot-foul-and successfully clean barrels from lead.
Can You guys advise for a quick and "easy"lead fouling removal method-chemical etc(for the next time).
Appreciate any other related advice.
Also-maybe one of the 3 slugs uses sub quality lead-so try to stay away from it perhaps?
