No doe tag for me in 82a. Can’t remember the last time that happened. Looks like tag numbers cut considerably too.

My son drew in 80 where we live. It’s a short hop across the border to 82a for us, so I always apply for 82a so we have tags in both. No tag this year. They had 6500 doe permits available last year in 82a. This years number was cut to 3150. Less than half. Rifle hunt will be buck only for us. Doesn’t look like there has been much change for 80. That said, I don’t think anyone ever draws for second choice in 80.

While I realize the doe tags needed to be reduced in 82a I just wonder what took them so long. A 50% decrease in one year suggests they waited too long. I wonder what most guys will do that normally hunt 82a.

Hunt bucks? Not getting a doe tag can't mean you can't go deer hunting.

Yep hunt bucks. There is still a hunt to be had, and the last two deer in my gunsights in 82a both had horns!
