My main stand is good to go.
New Excalibur Suppressor Extreme and my back-up bow Matrix bulldog 330 Crossbows set-up is just about complete. Just need to make a few minor tweaks to my set-ups.
Not getting much on my spy point cell cam but I think it's the usual antenna issue that I have often..
I have consumed all deer meat from last season so I'm ready to replenish my meat supply.
Planning to have my first sit on Oct 05th or 06th wind permitting...
Good luck to all the archers put there on opening day!
Re: the spypoint - I used to have antennae problems with both my spypoints (link-s). I replaced the antennaes on both with these (18.99).
That resolved all my connectivity issues. 100% since then on both cams.

Hunted Saturday morning Oct 05.
Was a nice mooring but no deer seen. Too hot and the woods are still green. Lots of time to make it happen. No tag filled means I can spend more time in the woods. lol

Sit#2 Oct 12.
Zero deer seen.
Very odd for my stand location. It used to be a heavy used travel route from feeding to bedding. I think it may be getting too thick, and the deer have moved to an easier travel route, or the water source has completely dried up.
But it was a nice sit and that's what really matters.
Sit#3 this weekend will be afternoon hunt with my climber near a known travel route from bedding to feeding.
Some seasons end quickly, and some are a grind. Thats the fun of hunting because your luck can turn on a dime especially during the rut...
I did see a Coyote pup. It came by at 20yards and bedded down in front of me. He had no idea I was there. It was an awesome thing to see. If it was an adult, I may have let an arrow go... lol

I was out Saturday AM, one deer seen by another member of my party but too far to shoot. I predict the action will pick up in 2 weeks.

only been out twice and haven't seen anything either. I have a picture of a buck chasing a doe, so maybe this cold weather will stir them up. going out thursday and friday.
