WMU41 better late then never

Morning everyone, so this post is for Oct 18. With the warm temps approaching and having the day off I decided to do the early wake call and trek into the wilderness, drive was fairly easy other then a few thick fog patches. Got to my first spot for legal shooting time which was nice, cool damp morning which I thought would have made a perfect day became a very boring disappointing day. No birds after walking 4 trails and almost 15,000 steps later...only consolation was on the drive out I flushed one out on the side of the road into the bush and managed to pop it on the 2nd flush
So either the numbers are low for the area or the moose hunters cleaned up, 80% of the leaves are down with 90% of the leaves changed color. I imagine by now everything should be down
